Arc-Haus handles are round, square or D-shaped, and every one is 250 mm across the face, the part you see on the door. Grange and Kingston are round, and Somerton and Henley are square with rounded corners. Brighton is the D shape, with one straight side and one half circle. Each handle's page lists its specifications and shows a drawing of the front and the side.

Choose a square handle to follow the straight lines of your front door, or a round one to contrast with them. Somerton and Henley are square, so they line up with the door's edges and the window frames around it. Grange and Kingston are round, with no straight sides to match the door, so how much they stand out depends on their colour. Brighton, the D shape, has one straight side to line up with the door and one curved side.

The 250 mm is the overall size of the handle's face, measured straight across the part you see on the door. It is the diameter of Grange and Kingston, and the width of the square Somerton and Henley. Brighton measures 250 mm each way, straight on one side and a half circle on the other. Each handle stands on a single bracket, and the drawing on its page shows the face and the thickness.

Arc-Haus handles are 10 mm thick in aluminium and 40 mm thick in Victorian Ash. Grange, Somerton and Brighton are the aluminium handles, and Kingston and Henley are the timber ones. All seven stand on a single bracket that holds them off the door. The thickness is listed in the specifications on every handle's page, and the drawing there shows it from the side.

Arc-Haus door handles are made from aluminium or Victorian Ash. Grange, Somerton and Brighton are aluminium, 10 mm thick, and Kingston and Henley are Victorian Ash, 40 mm thick. The round shape comes in both materials, as Grange or Kingston, and so does the square, as Somerton or Henley. Choose aluminium for a slim handle in black or white, or Victorian Ash for a thicker handle, supplied natural and ready to stain.

Arc-Haus door handles are Australian made, designed and made in our own workshop in Adelaide, South Australia. Arc-Haus was founded in 2021. Ben Pfitzner grew up in Adelaide around his father's furniture workshop. We make entry door pull handles and nothing else, in aluminium and in Victorian Ash from Australian Timbers in Gilman, South Australia.

Our timber is Victorian Ash, supplied by Australian Timbers in Gilman, South Australia, and certified under Responsible Wood, the Australian scheme endorsed by PEFC. We use it for our two timber handles, the round Kingston and the square Henley. Both are supplied natural, ready for your choice of stain. You can download the technical data sheets for both from their pages.

Arc-Haus door handles come in black, white or natural Victorian Ash, with Grange and Somerton in black or white and Brighton in black only. Kingston and Henley are supplied natural, ready for the stain you choose. The Kingston in our photos has been stained. As a guide, a black handle stands out on a pale door, and a white one on a dark door.

For a handle that stands out, choose black on a pale door or white on a dark one. To make the handle look like part of the house, match it to your window frames, black with black or white with white. On a timber door, you can stain Kingston or Henley to match the door or to contrast with it. If you would like help choosing, send an enquiry and we will reply by email.

Yes, Kingston and Henley, our two Victorian Ash handles, are supplied natural, so the choice of stain is yours. You can match the handle to your front door or pick a contrasting shade. Wait until you are sure it is the handle you want, because a change-of-mind return needs the timber with nothing applied. Our photos show Kingston stained, but every Kingston is supplied natural.

Yes, shipping is free anywhere in Australia, and we send orders by courier from Adelaide, Monday to Friday. We cannot deliver to PO boxes, so give a street address, such as your home or workplace, and check it carefully. Drivers cannot call ahead, and if you are not home, they leave the parcel at the front door or another spot that seems secure. If a wrong or incomplete address stops delivery, we charge the standard postage rate to send the parcel again.

Once your order is dispatched, delivery takes about 1 to 3 business days anywhere in Victoria, the ACT and metro NSW and SA. Allow 2 to 4 for metro Queensland and regional NSW and SA, and 3 to 4 for Tasmania and regional Central Queensland. Allow 4 to 5 for metro WA and regional Queensland, 5 to 6 for North Queensland and the NT, and 11 or more for regional WA. If you order more than one handle, they may arrive on different days, so allow up to 4 days for them all.

Within 7 days of receiving your handle, we may offer a change-of-mind exchange or refund if you have the tax invoice. The handle must be in saleable condition and its original state, so leave a Kingston or Henley unstained until you are sure. After 7 days, or without the invoice, an exchange or refund is at our discretion, though we may offer a credit note. To arrange a return, send an enquiry or call 0418 839 122, and any refund goes back to your original payment method.

If your handle is faulty, you are entitled to a refund, replacement or repair under the Australian Consumer Law, on top of our change-of-mind policy. The same applies if it is unfit for purpose, not as described or not of acceptable quality, but damage from misuse is not covered. For a major failure you choose the remedy, and a minor failure will be repaired, or the handle replaced if we choose.
